Sometimes there comes a need to capture what you see on your computer screen. This is called a screenshot and it can be done very simply!
There are two ways to do this on this system. The first is to simply press the PrtScn button on your keyboard. The screenshot is saved to the clipboard. Then you just need to paste it into a graphics program, like Paint, and save the image. You can also download a special program like FastStone or screenSHU that will do all this for you.
You can use two keyboard shortcuts to take a screenshot on a Mac. If you want to capture the entire screen, press Shift + Command + 3 at the same time, while Shift + Command + 4 captures only part of it.
It depends on your system, of course, but most of the time you will use the PrtSc key. On Ubuntu, it automatically saves the snapshot to the images folder.
